Hope Ranyard has a BA Hons in Costume Production, with a background in historical costume, corsetry and bridalwear. Therefore having a broad experience of styles to bring to the design and construction of the perfect wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses. Having your wedding gown individually designed and made to your own dreams, will make the experience both enjoyable and a very personal process.

The journey will begin with a design consultation and followed by measurements, fabric selection and two or three fittings. To help you select the gown for your dream wedding start by collecting images of dresses that you like and try on as many different styles of gowns as possible. This is because the styles that you initially think that you do not like or think will not suit you, can often be an unexpected surprise.

Hope Ranyard can deliver a variety of styles, from modern simplicity to historical extravagance. This could be a two piece with a corseted bodice with a full romantic skirt or a more slender tailored skirt. The corset is extremely versatile as part of a wedding gown. Whether the corset is as an elegant piece of lingerie for shape and support under the wedding dress, or beautiful and stunning in a delicate lace or embroidered satin as the bodice of the bridal gown itself. Equally if it is a one piece gown that is preferred, the gown can be produced in what ever choice of fabric you wish, whether that is satin, lace, silk, taffeta or tulle. The colour could be traditional white, daring red, or a shade of ivory which often is more complementary to the complexion. There may be an overall theme to the wedding that the design of the gown could be incorporated into, whether that is just a colour or a period theme.

Hope Ranyard can also design for the bridesmaids. A beautiful range of corseted bodices are available in standard sizes or a bespoke fit These come in a wide variety of colours and fabrics with co-ordinating skirts. Or a one piece dress can be produced if that is what is desired.
